Christmas markets are the centrepiece of the holiday season in northern Europe, and all those who visit will be charmed by the magic and merriment of this special time of year. You will be able to stroll past gaily decorated booths, brimming with handcrafted glass and wooden ornaments, listen to traditional holiday music, and smell the delicious aroma of gingerbread and mulled wine
This tour features Christmas markets in three countries — BELGIUM, HOLLAND and GERMANY — for a pre-Christmas shopping extravaganza.
Experience the wonderful atmosphere of the Christmas Markets in BRUSSELS (Belgium); VALKENBURG (Holland), where the markets are uniquely set inside beautifully decorated caves, and AACHEN (Germany), a historic Roman spa town. In Aachen, there is the added bonus of being able to shop at the Lindt chocolate factory, which has an incredible selection of seasonal chocolates at great prices.
Our return journey takes us to BRUGES, one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval cities, where you will have time for lunch and shopping. Perhaps pick up some delicious Belgian chocolates and lace. You can also visit the famous Kathe Wohlfarht Christmas Shop, for a final opportunity to buy traditional smokers and other holiday items.
Our hotel for 2 nights is located in the centre of Brussels, within easy walking distance of the famous GRAND PLACE, and the extensive Christmas Market. Don’t miss the amazing free sound and light show, illuminating the beautiful buildings of the Grand Place, which is special for this time of year
