SPRING WEEKEND IN
NORTH WALES & CHESTER
Saturday 23 - (Holiday) Monday 25 May
North Wales has some of the finest scenery in the whole of Britain, with its mountains,
rocky coastlines, forests and ancient castles.
The first day of our tour takes us
to the magnificent walled city of
CHESTER
, whose history dates back to Roman times. We have included a guided tour, and there will be time to explore and shop on your own, before continuing onto our hotel in North Wales.
During
this tour you will experience some of the most
breathtaking views and historic monuments in the British
Isles. We shall be visiting the World Heritage Sites of
CONWAY and CAERNARFON
CASTLES (where Prince Charles was crowned
Prince of Wales). We shall also take a train journey up
into the mountains on the FFESTINIOG STEAM
RAILWAY, the oldest narrow gauge passenger
railway in the world. We continue with a visit to an
award winning SLATE MINE
, set in dramatic mountain scenery, where you travel back to Victorian times and see how harsh life was for the miners in those days.

Our trip home takes us through the
awe-inspiring SNOWDON MOUNTAIN RANGE to
the very pretty mountain resort of
BETWS-Y-COED, for lunch. Our final stop
is in the little town of LLANGOLLEN
, famous for its International Music Festival, held there in July each year.
