NOTTINGHAM AND ROBIN HOOD COUNTRY
Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 June
NOTTINGHAM is
forever associated with one of the most colourful and
famous characters in history, ROBIN
HOOD, and on this tour you will be able to
visit some of the locations connected with him,
including SHERWOOD FOREST, NOTTINGHAM
CASTLE
, etc.
Nottingham is a diverse city and has a long history as well as a cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is the centre of the English Lace Industry which has a visitor centre set in a delightful 14th century house.

Beneath the City there is an
ancient cave system which is 750 years old and was even
used as air raid shelters during the Second World War.
Other attractions include “THE TALES OF ROBIN
HOOD”, (a ride which will take you back in
history to ancient Nottingham when outlaws roamed the
forest), and the CASTLE , as well
as a very fine shopping centre.
The
GALLERIES OF JUSTICE
is one of Nottingham’s top visitor attractions. Take a journey through 300 years of crime and punishment with real actors making the experience true to life. This is a great attraction and definitely worth a visit.
Naturally, we shall also be driving
out through the Nottinghamshire countryside to
Nottingham Forest, home to Robin and his band of merry
men, and visit the Major Oak reputed to be Robin’s
hiding place!
